NEED TO KNOW • 2 CREDITS • PRE-REQ: UHL 2322 (TECHNICAL WRITING) • 100% COURSEWORK • SYNOPSIS: • To equip students with skills they need to write an effective report and also to improve their oral presentation skills • It provides students with a step-by step guide by mastering the skills for writing a report. Emphases is on writing the background of study, objectives, • Reviewing literature, presenting the data collected, drawing conclusions and providing practical recommendations • Students are also required to do an oral presentation of the report
Course Objectives • CO 1- To extract salient information from various resources and analyse information to complete tasks. • CO 2-To write an academic report utilising appropriate layout, features and language. • C03- Produce effective documentations and appropriate language to complete written task • C04- Use appropriate language in delivering oral presentation
E-LEARNING • You are highly advised to download and save all study materials/notes into your hard disk or removable disk. • Do not depend solely on the internet connection. (cannot access notes due to poor internet connection is NOT an excuse for not having study materials/notes)
