Tinne TOONIA CUMBRONIA * James Town Area of Operations… The Federation of Northern Folk (FNF) • 3 constituent states: • Ottonia: Rural, little industry, dominated by radical Reiver tribes. • Toonia: More urban, industrialised, populated by the educated & moderate Sheerites. • Cumbronia: Rural, deep water ports for trade, populated by nomadic Carrow people.

  2. Political background… • The three FNF states broke up and declared independence from each other. • Toonia and Cumbronia signed joint trade and defence agreement. • Due to unstable economy Ottonia laid claim to industrial resources in Toonia north of river. Also laid claim to Cumbronian capital and port city of Dohh. • Sheik Al Sheerah, hallowed leader of Toonia, secured support of UN against Ottonia’s unlawful occupation. • Black Cats terror group, in support of Ottonia, are launching attacks on Toonian and Cumbronia targets. Black Cats want the Toonian Sheerites to embrace the Ottonian Reivers as their true leaders. • Ottonian Government deny involvement, but evidence shows that many of the Black Cat’s bombs come from Ottonia. • UN is concerned that Ottonia is becoming a breeding ground for extremist groups. • UN has authorised NATO deployment in Ottonia to persuade the extremists to lay down their weapons.

  3. Competition format… • Saturday: • Inspection • Weapon Handling Tests • Zeroing • IED Lane • CP Task (Command Post or Close Protection?) • Dead Letter Route • First Aid Incident (Likely to be severe trauma, given scenario) • Sunday: • Inspection • March • Shoot

Dress & equipment… • Dress: • Headdress • Brown/green t-shirt • Shirt CS’95 • Combat jacket • Combat trousers • Boots • Equipment: • Webbing: Belt, yoke, 2 × ammo pouch, water bottle pouch (with full water bottle), ear defenders. • Day sack: Poncho, KFS, waterproof jacket & bottoms, personal first aid kit, 10m × para cord or green string, 4 × bungees. • Bergen: Sleeping bag, sleeping mat, Goretex bivvy bag (will be issued), spare clothing, towel and wash kit.

  5. Dress & equipment… • Weapons & ancillaries: • Cadet GP rifle with fitted sling. • 2 × magazines. • Cleaning kit: Combination tool, nylon brush, pull-through, bore brush, oil bottle (full), flannelette. • Section Commander: • Lightweight compass. • Pocket sized notebook & pencil. • Model making kit. • Section 2ic: • Separate first aid pouch/bag: 4 × triangular bandages, 8 × field dressings, 2 prs disposable gloves, 12 × safety pins, notebook & pen & pencil.
