Situation • State of Arizona requires an annual or more frequent motor vehicle record review of any employee required to drive on state business. • A.A.C. R2 10 – 207.12 • Individual State Agencies are responsible for validating their Employees’ driving record. • The current tools available make it difficult to accurately maintain a current driving status of employees.
Current Process Not checking employee driving record. Submit request to MVD on 1:1 basis. Batch Process -Programming fee required for MVD access.
Goal • Streamline the process for requesting and receiving necessary data from MVD. • Provide a central location for data management. • Secure data in accordance with MVD policy. • Reduce man hours necessary for obtaining data. • Provide more real-time data.
Benefit • Standardize process for accessing motor vehicle record, MVR, data. • Reduce administrative work for individual agencies. • Improve security of sensitive data. • Centralize the location of MVR data. • Increase accuracy of driving status.
HRIS Process • Standardize process for identifying and storing driver information. • Improve security of sensitive data. • Centralize the location of identified driver data. • Non-HRIS Agencies maintain their own databases.
