  1. If you’re a newbie in the field of editing software, we bid you hello. In this demanding world of technological innovation, your newly acquired skill set is a very wise investment. With so many companies needing your craft, you can be and endless money making machine if you decide to go solo or expect a lot of employment opportunities if you want to go with a firm. But dear newbie, you are not alone. Many millennials have been investing and training to get the same video making skill set as you are. The difference may be the non-technical and intangible details such as punctuality and professionalism but the video editing software you use may also be the deal-breaker. AviDemux is a software designed to do simple and quite menial tasks such as cutting, filtering and encoding. Its free and is an open-source, cross platform program, which means supports a lot of types programs and codecs and available for Linux, Mac and Windows users. Powerful and efficient but not user-friendly, if you’re considering a no-fuss interface, you may want to walk away from this but you don’t mind the challenge then go ahead. AviDemux

  4. Now we’re talking, serious tech here! If you’re very adept with this one or learning the ropes then you’re in luck as most video professionals use this regardless of industry. From wedding videographers, to music marketers even corporate presentations everyone’s in this boat. Extremely powerful and has tons of options. And if you are adept with Adobe AE, then go ahead and show off your skills with customized after effects templates! The downside though? At roughly $800 this is a pricey option. But if you want to get in line with the best maybe the investment is worthwhile especially if you’re a freelancer. Adobe Premiere
