  2. Comments for TG3c-selection Criteria Document Hiroshi Harada, Ryuhei Funada, Yoshinori Nishiguchi, Chang-Soon Choi, Yozo Shoji, Shuzo Kato (NICT), Kazuaki Takahashi (Panasonic), Ichihiko Toyoda (NTT), Kenichi Kawasaki (Sony) ,and Hiroyuki Nakase (Tohoku University) Hiroshi Harada, NICT

  3. Summary of this document • Give some comments for TG3c Selection Criteria Document (P802.15-05-0493-23-003c) Hiroshi Harada, NICT

  4. Comment 1 4.1.2 Values Complexity estimates should be provided in terms of both analog and digital die size estimates, semiconductor processes, specified year for process technologies, gate count estimates, and major external components. Similar considerations should be made with regard to MAC enhancements. Reasonable and conservative values should be given. Relative comparisons to existing technologies are acceptable. • The conditions are not MANDATORY issue from the proposers. The proposers will show the information (analog and digital die size etc.) if they need as one of additional features. Hiroshi Harada, NICT

  5. Comment 2 4.4.2 Values Scalability parameters include; power consumption, PHY-SAP Payload Bit Rate and Data Throughput, channelization (physical or coding), complexity, range, frequencies of operation, occupied bandwidth of operation, and other functions deemed appropriate. • The conditions of “power consumption” and “complexity” are not MANDATORY issue from the proposers. The proposers will show the information if they need as one of additional features. Hiroshi Harada, NICT

  6. Comment 3 5.1.1 Definition Supplements and modifications to the MAC will be required to accommodate the alternate PHY. The modified MAC should stay backwards compatible to the current IEEE802.15.3-2003 MAC. • IEEE802.15.3-2003 MAC -> IEEE802.15.3-2003 MAC and IEEE802.15.3b-2003 MAC ? Hiroshi Harada, NICT

  7. Comment 4 6.2.2 Packet overhead • There is no definition on T_SIFS • In fig.2, T_PA_INT -> T_PA_INITIAL ? • A table is needed to show all of parameters such as packet over head or PHY-SAP payload bit rate (samples are shown in the next slide) 6.2.3 Data Throughput • In the equation of Data_Throughput_No_Ack, T_MPDU -> T_PAYLOAD ? • In the equation of Data_Throughput_Imm_Ack, T_MPDU -> T_PAYLOAD ? Hiroshi Harada, NICT

  8. Sample table Hiroshi Harada, NICT

  9. Comment 5 6.6 Link budget 6.6.2 Values • Oxgen absorption losses are not needed to be consider ? • There are no caption for the table in page 23. • In the table in page 23, the items in path loss at d m are dependent on usage model. “x dB at d meters “ are adequate notation. Hiroshi Harada, NICT
