  2. Monday: 8/11/14 • EQ: What is physical science? • WU: What skills do scientists use to learn about the natural world? • A: They observe, infer, and predict.

  3. Tuesday(Tues.): 8/12/14 • WU: What are the 2 types of observations? • A: Qualitative observations are descriptions that do not involve numbers or measurements. • Quantitative observations are measurements like your height and weight.

  4. Wednesday: 8/13/14 • WU: What are inferences based on? • A: Inferences are based on reasoning from what you already know. Your past experiences.

  5. Thursday: 8/14/14 Copy each question and identify the variables.   6. Friday: 8/15/14 • WU: When conducting an experiment you must have a variable and a control group. What is a variable and a control group? • A: A variable is anything in the experiment that can be changed. A control group is used to compare. In an experiment, you should always have something that you don’t change so that you can compare what you do change.
