HOSTILITY • Formal Definition: a person or thing that is antagonistic or unfriendly. • Example: The white student talked to Melba with great hostility.
TURMOIL • Formal Definition: a state of great commotion, confusion, or disturbance. • Example: Since 9/11, the stock market has been in a state of turmoil.
