  4. Divergent (pulling apart) Boundary • Mid-Atlantic Ridge • Mostly on the ocean floor. • Iceland only place you can see it on land • Lava pushes up through cracks • Earthquakes and volcanoes may occur • Ocean basins form

  5. Transform Boundary (Faults) • Plates sliding past each other • San Andreas Fault in California • Pacific plate sliding past North American plate • Earthquakes and volcanoes occur
