Examples of Ways to Remix and Revise Remix an OER to meet the changing needs of students. • A teacher translates a web page about Queen Elizabeth from English to French. • A teacher replaces pictures depicting Russian children working on a water project with images that are more familiar to her students in Ghana. • A teacher changes some wording in a fourth grade unit on spaceflight to make it better suited for his third grade students.
Quality • Key points to remember about quality: • Content needs to be relevant • Review final product for continuity when using multiple sources • Define terms when needed • Clean up the presentation using an editor • Make note of the tone and voice used in the OER • Expect a few challenges when remixing and adapting OER materials.
