Region 1 Chapter of the VPPPA • The Region 1 Chapter of the Voluntary Protection Programs Participants Association (VPPPA) is announcing two $1,000 student scholarships to be awarded in 2008 • For a student who has demonstrated academic excellence while completing college work in the field of occupational safety or occupational health • For a student who has demonstrated academic excellence in any field of study Eligibility: All employees of a VPPPA member company and their spouses, children or grandchildren Academic Requirements: The applicant must have a current grade point average of 2.5 (or higher) out of 4.0 for the Safety and Health Award, 3.0 or higher for the Academic Excellence Award Availability: Students entering their second or sophomore year, and beyond, in 2008 Deadline:Awarded: March 15, 2008 Region 1 Conference in April, 2008 Spring Scholarships Announcement Applications are available on line at www.vppregion1.com Submit application and supporting documents to Jack Popp, Hasbro, Inc.,443 Shaker RdEast Longmeadow, MA  01028Phone: (413) 526-2491Fax: (413) 526-4473e-mail: jpopp@hasbro.com
