  11. Reading Levels A.B. Combs administers the mClass literacy assessment as a part of the formative assessment process in Wake County.  Although, these assessments are used by your child’s teacher to inform  his or her instruction, they are not administered by your child’s teacher.

Math Benchmarks • Count to 100 by 1’s and 10’s • Fluently add and subtract within 5 • Compose and decompose numbers from 11 to 19 into ten ones and some further ones • Identify and describe shapes (circles, triangles, squares, rectangles, trapezoids, hexagons, cones, cylinders, cubes, spheres) • Identify shapes as two-dimensional or three-dimensional • Compose simple shapes to form larger shapes

Field Trips • In order to chaperone a field trip, you must have clearance from Wake County. • We have 3 field trips planned for this year: • Farmer Ganyard at Upchurch Farm- October 16th • Schoolwide Movie Field Trip- December • Laurel Hills Park – March 22nd, 23rd, 27th *More information will be forthcoming!
