  2. Let’s learn some new vocab! Get into 4 groups. Your group is responsible for finding the words above – either A, B, C or D. Be ready to report your answers to the class!

  3. We are now going to look at a letter from Project Aware. As you can see, the group is concerned about preserving our oceans. As we read through the text, decide which word fits in the blanks – be ready with your definitions!

  4. Fill in the blanks • vulnerable • petition • proposals • devastating • majestic • majority • unprecedented • declines • privileged • precipitous • magnificence

  5. This letter/email is quite persuasive: • What features can you find? • What words are used to describe sharks? • How does the writer make you, as the reader, feel responsible?

  6. If you get stuck on one of the terms, look it up on the internet! There should be plenty of explanations and examples. Alternatively, ask a friend!
