Qualified Electrical Workers (QEW) • Revision process for Chapter 8, Electrical Safety Program will begin in October. • Training matrix for the Electrical Safety Program will be fully revised for FY-15 with graded approach. • FY-14 Compensatory measures: • All Qualified Electrical Workers will take EHS0371, QEW Practical, as a substitute for EHS0369: • Focus on validation of NFPA 70E work practices • Demonstrate knowledge of electrical approach boundaries • Demonstrate selection and inspection of PPE • Demonstrate performance of live electrical testing • Demonstrate performance of absence of voltage verification • Non-QEW’s will take revised EHS0260, Basic Electrical Hazards & Mitigations • Update to be released in 1Q14 Environment / Health / Safety DIVISION
