Symposium Presentation Bringing it all together
Review • Take out your notes / questions from your small group sharing last week. • Carefully review them—what did your group members hear about your topic? What questions did they have? • Highlight / note areas that you want to concentrate on in your presentation.
Focus • Quiet individual work time today to begin to bring your presentation together.
Brainstorm • List ideas that you have for your presentation. How might you capture your audience’s attention? What information in most relevant to share with them? • Remember: you are your own audience—a second semester senior in your last two weeks of school. What captures your attention? • Suggestion: structure your presentation like a TED Talk.
Outline • Type the ideas that you’re thinking of sharing AND the order that you’re considering at this point. • Be thoughtful about this.
Share • Bounce your ideas off the person sitting next to you. What are you thinking at this point? What questions do you have for them? What advice can they share about your presentation?
Prep Work • Final lab day tomorrow • Practice small group session with feedback on Friday.
Remember • To sign up at the bookstore. $15 • To bring in your permission form • Sign up for outside speakers—first come, first served. Mrs. Ahlgrim sent you a email about this today.
