Objectives • After successful completion of the course the trainees should be able to execute the following activities.
Contents Introduction to Test Tool Configuration Scope and Test Items CTI Definition Configuration Scope and Test Items CTI Definition and Operating Principle Connect to OSLinker Window OS Test Tool (OSCallSim) Main Window OS Dialer OS Call Control OS Port Monitor
Introduction to Test Tool • Purpose • To reduce the verification period by automating the test for OS Systems • To automate via the composition of templates for the same test items by OS Systems • To automate via the composition of templates for the function tests by stations
Configuration – Single Mode • Overview • The automation is intended for all terminals that OS System supports, including the stations below. • At present, the configuration for the traffic channel of IP Phone/WIP Phone is not supported. Analog Station IP station Digital station Soft Phone WIP Phone OS System TCP Test Tool IO Server
Configuration – Networking Mode • OS Test tool controls two types of system. • SPnet • PSTN Analog Station Analog Station Digital station Digital station SPNet PSTN ISDN OS System 1 OS System 2 TCP Test Tool OSLink 1 OSLink 2
Scope and Test Items • Target OS System : SOHO/OS500/OS7200/OS7400 • Networking OS System : 2 OS System Support • Target Station : SLC/DGP/VOIP/WIP/SoftPhone, etc. • Target TRUNK : Analog/VOIP/E1 • Test Items • Individual Test for Various Functions • Individual CTI Function Test for dialing/on-hook/off-hook/setting functions/inquiring functions • Load/Performance Test • Test to inspect the operation status after simultaneously performing the functions, such as dialing/on-hook/off-hook/forwarding, and applying the load to the system with multiple phone sets. • Function Automation Test – Next Version • Automation of Function Test by setting multiple CTI functions as the basis of the scenario.
Computer Telephony Interface (CTI) • Definition of CTI • Computer Telephony Integration (CTI) represents the information technology that connects/integrates computers and telephonies (Switch, IVR/FAX, Telephone and related software) and the solution that utilizes in the business via the information technology. • CTI Application • Call Center • Call Center is a service that maximizes the consult efficiency by receiving the information, such as ANI/DNIS, for the call dialed to the switch via PSTN and the information on Residence Registration Number/Account Number/Other Customer Numbers via IVR, retrieving the customer information via the CTI server storing the information on customers in real-time and transferring the information to the consultant’s computer.
Digital Station OS System Digital Station OS Automation TOOL OS Link Operating Principle 1 of OS Automation Tool • Telephone Control : CTI Command, Automation TOOL → OS System • OS Automation TOOL requests the execution of functions, such as DIAL/OFF_HOOK/ON_HOOK, for a specified station in the MSG format promised with a switch passing through OS link by using OS System. • Application of Telephone status : CTI Event, OS System → Automation TOOL • OS System transfers the call status of a station in the MSG format promised a switch through OS link to inform the status of the station to OS Automation tool.
Operating Principle 2 of OS Automation Tool Automation TOOL OS Link OS System OS Station Automation tool transfers to OS system through Os link to perform the call function. OS Link transfers the MSG received from the automation tool to the system. The OS system analyzes the received MSG and have the specified station performed the call function. The OS station performs the call function requested via the MSG received from the OS system. CTI COMMAND CTI EVENT Automation TOOL analyzes the MSG received from the system and applies the station status. OS Link transfers the MSG received from the system to the automation tool. OS System transfers the call status of the station to the OS link.

OS Simulator Main Screen • Simulator’s main screen to perform the CTI control function for the OS System • DIALER : Performs the Auto-Dial function simultaneously by using multiple phone sets. • PORT : Displays and monitors the configuration information of system ports. • CALL : Performs the Call Control function of ports with software. • AUTO : Sets the dialog to perform the Call function automatically. • HIDE : Hides the Call Simulator screen. • LINK : Displays the IP of the currently connected OSLINKER (OS System]. • VER : Displays the version information of the currently connectedsystem. • OS : Display the connection status to the OSLinker. For connection, light green LED turns on.
OS DIALER Window • Description • The Dialer function of the Automation Tool performs the Auto-dial function by entering the information on the Calling/Called parties and can monitor the progressive status and the accumulated calling statistics in real-time. Accumulated Count Dialer List Part Caller Part Called Part
Items of DIALER Configuration • DIALER Configuration
Example of DIALER Configuration • Out going call to 2002 from 2001 • Out going call to 92002 from 2001
Example of DIALER Configuration • Dial lists of the Out going call to 2011 from 2001 • Dial lists of the Out going call to 92011 from 2001 Caller TEL : 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 ToTEL(Called TEL) : 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 Number : DIAL Number is CalledTEL Caller TEL : 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 ToTEL(Called TEL) : 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 Number : DIAL Number is TRK+CalledTEL
OS Call Control • Function • The OS Call Control window is intended to process all calls by ports for the OS System, perform the Query/Set Feature functions and provide the monitoring function for call processing • The above window shows the ‘CONNECTED’ status information by dialing into ‘95001’ after setting as 2001 port. A tester can see the call progress status in real-time.
OS Port Monitoring • Description • The OS Port Monitor window provides the Retrieve function for all port types of the OS system/DND status/Call • The figure below shows the window running the Port Status Monitoring Function for the automation test.
