2. The history of University of Prešov
Established in 1997- University of Presov
very young higher education institution.
The history of its faculties is much older and complex:
Greek-Catholic Theological Faculty (1880), Faculty of Arts (1959), Faculty of Education (1949) and Orthodox Theological Faculty (1950).
Faculties were established independently and at different times
3. International Relations During the past few years, specifically since 2004, there has been a clear increase in student and teacher mobility,
there is a balance between incoming and outgoing students to and from PU. Nevertheless, these numbers are still low as compared to most European countries.
4. Problems in the area of internationalisation at University of Presov Financing of the Erasmus mobilities / according the obtained Erasmus financial support we can send only 0,5% of students for mobility every year

Problems in the area of internationalisation at University of Presov Administration of higher number of incoming students taps the money from university budget (we pay an extra money for teacher`s extra work - delivery of the moduls in English for Erasmus incoming students) instead of financial support of outgoing Erasmus students
What would be a way? We do not want to refuse the students who are interested in Erasmus at our university.

13. Institutional ECTS coordinator (IectsC) Duties and competencies of ECTS institutional coordinator:

acts as A manager of Faculty and Department ECTS coordinators
all the university teachers, researches and other univ. employees are in the issues of ECTS subordinated to IectsC

Guaranties in the faculty full ECTS recognition with respect to National Higher Education Act as well as internal regulation
15. Faculty ECTS coordinator In the case of any controversial or problems – teachers are obliged in written form approach with request for the inspection the IectsC, who is responsible for final decision and statement.
Yearly, FectsC submits the report with respect to ECTS and Study period recognition to the dean of the faculty, IectsC as well, plans the activities for the next academic year,

Responsible for ECTS documentation (Learning agreement…).

Who is responsible for proper students documentation
In Learning agreement must to be indicated whether the course is:
An alternation to the obligatory subject of domestic study program (which one),
An optional subject
A selective subject

Alternation to another type of observation or practice as a part of curriculum

19. No easy process… Success is connected with:
Strong support of internationalization policy at university and faculty level
Dissemination activities, university Radio, TV, journal…students write and speaks about the problems…
Promotion of student’s success stories
Proofs that mobility is an appreciated process
Individual involvement in the controversial issues.
