Situation You are about to become a “bindle bum”, someone who must carry all of his/her possessions rolled up in a blanket. You will have to walk long distances carrying your bindle. Also, you will have to sleep outside and cook your own food.
Task • Carefully choose items to carry in your bindle. • On page 13 of your ISN, illustrate (or print out pictures) the items you plan to bring. • Write a brief explanation of why each item is important or useful. • Use two-column notes style (example below) CAN OPENER – I need a can opener for all of the food that I’m going to carry with me.
Extra Credit • Bring a real bindle to class on Friday, Aug 31st. • Be ready to unpack and explain your bindle contents. • Maximum weight = 35 pounds • Maximum size = 2.5 feet long (must fit inside a rolled up blanket)
