5. 2011 WHITEWATER RAFTING ! Nantahala River WHEN/WHERE: Saturday July 30, 2011 4 Tour buses (208 PEOPLE) Leave 7AM sharp, river arrival 10AM WHAT TO BRING: Food/drink for breakfast and picnic lunch. River or swimming clothing & a change of dry clothing. • LOGISTICS: • Please present all signed waivers to your bus captain upon boarding the morning of departure. • Bus will rest-stop in Saluda. Bring change for vending machines if you like. • App Rivers will bus GE to "put-in“, do safety briefing, provide paddles and vests. • People enter river as self guided groups (7 per raft), which will enter river in stages of 50 at a time, separated by ~10 minutes. • App Rivers will shuttle everyone to Ferebee Memorial picnic area from the “take-out-spot” after the river run. • Group has picnic at the park then boards buses to return to GVL.
