Divisibility Rules. A number is divisible by 10 if it ends in zero. Examples: 25 0 3 0 10,80 0. A number is divisible by 2 if it is an even number (ends in 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8). Examples: 5 8 1,24 6 21 0.

  2. A number is divisible by 10 if it ends in zero. Examples: 250 30 10,800

  3. A number is divisible by 2 if it is an even number(ends in 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8). Examples: 58 1,246 210

  4. A number is divisible by 3 if the sum of its digits is divisible by 3. Examples: 126 4,701 111 1+2+6=9 4+7+0+1=12 1+1+1=3

  5. A number is divisible by 4 if the last two digits are a multiple of 4. 4 Examples: 836 5,204 916

  6. A number is divisible by 5 if the last digit is a 5 or 0. Examples: 90,465 970 165

  7. A number is divisible by 9 if the sum of its digits is divisible by 9. • Examples: • 342 3,744 648 • 3+4+2=9 3+7+4+4=18 6+4+8=18

  8. A number is divisible by 6 if it is divisible by both 2 and 3. Examples: 782521,302 7+8=15 2+5+2=9 1+3+0+2=6
