  2. Electronic Interruption Statistics • 25+ age group, only half as tolerant to electronic interruptions compared to younger under 25 set • 6% bothered during sex • 17% during a meeting • 27% during a meal • 12% in the bathroom

  3. Social Media • “Embedded lives” • Uploading meal pictures before actually eating • Engage in social media while in bed • 48% update Facebook/Twitter before bed and before getting out of bed in the morning • 76% for under 25 age set • 19% check when they wake up during the night

  4. In-bed Social Media • Scan news before feet touch floor • 17% social media users check Facebook/Twitter before they turn on TV • 16% rely on social media for “morning news” • Contender with “Good Morning America” especially with breaking news

  5. Social Media & Parents • 1/3 of parents ban texting at dinner • 12% will take away social media as punishment • 47% just talks about misbehavior • 27% would get grounded • 22% would remove TV time • 15% would commandeer kids’ phones
