  3. LAND PORTS AUTHORITY OF INDIA • Total length- 33 lakhkms • Contribution of traffic by Road route- • Freight – 65% • Passenger – 80% • National Highways -1.7% of the road network but carry 40% of the road traffic. • Number of vehicles growing at 10% per annum (last five years).
