Skilled/unskilled • Each group of 18 children are staffed with 3 personnel • Typically 2 pre-school teachers and 1 assistant. • The objective is to have 3 pre-school teachers. • Pre-school teacher = skilled • Assistant = ”unskilled” (3 years of upper secondary school)
Leadership • Pedagogical degree or equivalent • All headmasters take the governmental headmaster education (today 2 year).
Childcare-profession • In Sweden it is a problem to get pre-school teacher with proper education. • The last couple of years the students have preferred to get a teachers degree. • Introducing the Curriculum for the Pre-School (-98) was meant to raise the level of education.
