  1. SAM ProGrader Student Quick-Start Guide

  2. SAM ProGrader Introduction • SAM ProGrader 1.0 is a free pilot that has been provided for students who purchase a new textbook from Course Technology. • Students MUST use Microsoft Office 2003 to complete projects. Other versions of the software will not submit correctly for grading.

  3. Initial Login http://samprograder.course.com Click on New User Enter Institution Key The Institution Key is Provided by your Instructor.

  4. Login Continued Enter 18-digit Key Code *Key Code is provided in a bundled package with a new textbook. Create Personal Profile *Your username should be the same as your Blackboard/Web CT or SAM username. *The secret question will be used to identify you if you forget your password.

  5. Login Continued Click I AGRREE to accept the license agreement.

  6. Welcome to SAM ProGrader Menu of Options Tech Support Information Welcome area for user communication by Course Technology

  7. Joining a Section Click JOIN to Join Section of your Choice Click on Sections Make Sure You Join the Correct Section and Instructor.

  8. Assignments Assigned Projects are Listed Here. Start Project and Submit Here.

  9. Starting a Project Download Instructions and project file here. *Make sure you click save and not open when you are downloading the initial file.*Pay close attention to the location that you save the file.*All ProGrader files have special encryption data built into each file. The encryption detects the user and notifies the instructor when the username does not match the submitted file.

  10. Student Reports Choose from four different types of reports. Instructors must make the reports available before a student can view the results.
