FREQUENCY LINKED PENALTY – INCENTIVE SCHEME01-04-1994 TO 31-10-1998 LOAD FLOW STUDIES……current status
DECISION OF THE SPECIAL TCC MEETING HELD ON 19th May, 2005 IN THE SPECIAL TCC MEETING WAS DECIDED THAT : --SYSTEM CONDITIONS PREVAILING DURING THAT PERIOD WOULD BE SIMULATED TO ENABLE ALL THE CONSTITUENTS TO CARRY OUT THE LOAD FLOW STUDIES --RESULTS OF THE STUDIES WILL BE ANALYSED BY ALL THE 4 STATES AND THEIR OBSERVATIONS MAY BE DISCUSSED IN THE SUBSEQUENT MEETING OF THE COMMITTEE.
CRITERIA FOR LOAD FLOW STUDIES01-04-1994 TO 31-10-1998 CRITERIA FOR LOAD FLOW STUDIES WAS THAT : --DURING THE ABOVE PERIOD FOR EACH QUARTER IN EACH YEAR MAXIMUM AND MINIMUM FREQUENCY WILL BE IDENTIFIED --LOAD FLOW STUDIES WILL BE CARRIED OUT CORRESPONDING TO ALL THESE SAMPLES
STEPS FOR SELECTION OF MINIMUM FREQUENCY IN EACH QUARTER • THE HOURLY AVERAGE FREQUENCY OF SR GRID WILL BE TABULATED FOR PEAK HOURS ON EACH DAY IN THE QUARTER. (PEAK HOURS i.e. 0600- 0900 HRS AND 1900 – 2200 HRS. Therefore Total Sample Values = 90*6=540 ) • THE MINIMUM FREQENCY FROM THE ABOVE TABULATED VALUES WILL BE SELECTED. • IN CASE OF MORE THAN ONE VALUES OF MINIMUM FREQUENCY, THE FIRST HOUR IN THE DAY IN THAT QUARTER ON WHICH IT OCCURS WILL BE SELECTED.
STEPS FOR SELECTION OF MAXIMUM FREQUENCY IN EACH QUARTER • THE HOURLY AVERAGE FREQUENCY OF SR GRID WILL BE TABULATED FOR OFF-PEAK HOURS ON EACH DAY IN THE QUARTER. (OFF-PEAK HOURS i.e. 0000- 0400 HRS AND 1200 – 1400 HRS. Therefore Total Sample Values = 90*6=540 ) • THE MAXIMUM FREQENCY FROM THE ABOVE TABULATED VALUES WILL BE SELECTED. • IN CASE OF MORE THAN ONE VALUES OF MAXIMUM FREQUENCY, THE FIRST HOUR IN THE DAY IN THAT QUARTER ON WHICH IT OCCURS WILL BE SELECTED.
DATA REQUIREMENT AFTER SELECTION OF THE MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM FREQUENCY SAMPLE IN EACH QUARTER, THE CORRESPONDING DATA PERTAINING TO THOSE HOURS IS TO BE COLLECTED FOR CARRYING OUT LOAD FLOW STUDIES.
SYSTEM STUDIES FOR 1994-1998 CONDITIONS MODUS OPERANDI
LOAD FLOW MODEL FOR CARRYING OUT STUDIES: • ONLY THE 400 KV NETWORK, 400/220 KV ICT WOULD BE MODELLED • MW, MVAR FLOW ON THE ICTs WOULD BE REPRESENTED AS A LOAD LOAD FLOW OUTPUT: • VOLTAGES AT ALL BUSES • LINE FLOWS ON ALL 400 KV LINES
DATA REQUIREMENT • ALL 400/220 KV ICTs MW AND MVARS • ALL 400 KV HVDC SET POINTS • MW AND MVAR GENERATION OF GENERATORS ON ALL 400 KV BUS • 400 KV BUS VOLTAGES • DRAWAL OF ALL CONSTITUENTS
LIST OF 400/220/230 kV ICT • ANDHRA PRADESH GAZUWAKA VIJAYAWADA KHAMMAM RAMAGUNDAM GHANAPUR N’SAGAR CUDAPPA GOOTY
LIST OF 400/220/230 kV ICT • KARNATAKA RAICHUR (KPTCL) SOMANHALLI MUNIRABAD GUTTUR(KPTCL) HOODY(KPTCL)
LIST OF 400/220/230 kV ICT • TAMIL NADU SRIPERUMBUDUR NLY TS II TRICHY MADURAI UDUMALPET SALEM • KERALA TRISSUR
ACTION TAKEN FOR LOAD FLOW STUDIES • ON 24th AND 25th MAY 05, THE STATES OFFICERS ASSEMBLED AT SRLDC, BANGALORE AND IDENTIFIED MAXIMUM AND MINIMUM HOURLY AVERAGE FRFEQUENCY FOR EACH QUARTER FOR THE PERIOD 01-04-1994 TO 31-10-1998 • 19 SAMPLES OF LOW FREQUENCY AND 19 SAMPLES OF HIGH FREQUENCY ( i.e. TOTAL 38 SAMPLES). REPORT
ACTION TAKEN FOR LOAD FLOW STUDIES • THE FORMATS OF DATA REQUIREMENT FROM EACH STATE REQUIRED TO CARRY OUT SYSTEM STUDIES WAS PREPARED BY SRLDC AND SENT TO ALL STATES ON 01st JUNE 2005. • THE FILED DATA FORMATS WERE RECEIVED BY SRLDC AS FOLLOWS • KSEB 18.06.05 • TNEB 09.08.05 • APTRNSCO 17.08.05 • KPTCL 27.07.05
ACTION TAKEN FOR LOAD FLOW STUDIES • IT HAS BEEN OBSERVED THAT FOR FEW CASES THE DATA IS NOT AVAILABLE, WHICH IS TO BE ARRANGED BY STATES • STATES HAVE TO ASSEMBLE TO CARRY OUT THE STUDIES AND ANALYSE THE RESULTS
