  4. The function...? • Digestion and appetite.   • improves digestion • slows down emptying of food from the stomach • stimulates production of bile in the liver & its release from the gall bladder

  6. Conditions...? • Effects of CCK vary between individuals. • In rats, CCK reduces hunger in young males, but is less effective in older subjects • Less effective in females • Hunger-suppressive effects of CCK are reduced in obese rats
