Your twin sister forgot your birthday 4. Your birthday cake collapses from the weight of the candles 3. You see a “60 Minutes” news team waiting in your office 2. You turn on the news and they’re showing emergency routes out of the city 1. You call Suicide Prevention and they put you on hold

  3. DISCUSSION GUIDE 1. What was the outcome of the unfortunate circumstance that Paul found himself in? (vs.1:12-13) The gospel was advanced as Paul shared with the Praetorian Guard and to everyone else he came in contact with.

  4. DISCUSSION GUIDE 2. What captive audience do you encounter on a regular basis to which you alone may have the opportunity to share? Work associates, family, neighbors, folks who share your hobby interests, etc.

  6. DISCUSSION GUIDE 4. Why did Paul’s example embolden his fellow believers? (v. 14) If Paul could take a stand even in his situation, then they should do the same.
