  2. Background Chris McGill is the founder of Mixx Mixx.Com was launched for public use on October 10, 2007 Before Mixx, he was the General Manager of Yahoo News, Weather, Yahooligans (Yahoo Kids) and Yahoo Education; and Vice President of Strategy for USATODAY.

  3. What’s The Purpose? Mixx is a user-driven social media web site that allows users to search and submit, shared stories, photos, and video content by peers based on interest and location. Mixx combines the benefits of the "Best of" listings from Facebook, Digg and Twitter, such as updates, shared links, trending topics, followers, fans, memes, viral videos, etc. Mixx users can search and discover media relevant to their interests, and interact with friends and other Mixx users who share their common interests.

It’s Functionality • Personalization • Search and Discover • Sharing and Networking By submitting, commenting on and voting for or against stories, photos and videos that they like or don't users can influence the flow of incoming media and recommend relevant media to other users within categories such as, News, Business, Entertainment, Sports, Life, Health, Tech, Science, Fun, Community.
