  1. The building blocks of wellness By: Carly Pingel

  2. Personal Relationships/Family Wellness Stuck In The Middle “While for some people this situation would ruin their life, it caused me to become very independent and discover my own identity at a young age. While I could deal with re-wearing my sisters clothes, I didn’t want to be compared to her anymore and I wanted to be someone my little brother could look up to, not constantly fought with.”

  3. “Getting Big!” Physical Wellness “The time on the treadmill gets closer and closer to the 30-minute mark causing even more sweat to run down my face from the thought of entering the downstairs territory. The weight lifting area can be quite an intimidating place. All the guys I knew from class would joke with me by sarcastically saying, “Getting Big!” (In reference to my muscles.) The joke quickly grew old due to the fact that my muscles were not getting big nor did I want them to.”

  4. To Infiniti and Beyond When I was done getting the tattoo I realized it wasn’t as bad as I made it out to be, but I knew I would never forget that experience with all my friends for as long as I lived…well obviously because it’s permanently on my skin! Social Networks Wellness

  5. No Meat or Dairy! Some of my friends do not understand my decision to be a vegan. My dietary habits are usually mocked with statements like, “Hey Carly, want to come over to my place? I’ll put tofu all over my body and then you can eat it off me,” and “That tofurky smells like my dog’s butthole.” Physical Wellness

  6. Making My Dreams Come True Intellectual Wellness I wanted to stop people from thinking they had to go to such drastic measures to feel good about themselves. I wanted to help people realize they could look amazing just by eating healthy and working out a few days every week. I wanted to major in dietetics so that I could one day become a nutritionist.
