Types Of ACSR Conductors And Their Uses!

ACSR (Aluminium Conductor Steel Reinforced) is a more resistant stranded conductor. It's commonly used for overhead transmission lines. The ACSR is designed in such a way that the outside of the conductor can be made of pure aluminium material while the inside of the conductor is made of steel material. As a result, it gives additional power to the conductor to support the conductor's weight. When compared to aluminium, steel offers better strength. For it to be used with a mechanical force carrier. To increase the life of this conductor, it can be galvanised or coated with another substance.
