Arrival and Departure Information • Arrival Options • A. August 11, 2014 (Monday) after 12:00 pm (CST) • B. August 12, 2014 (Tuesday) any time before 7:30 pm (CST) • *We would like to suggest arriving before 1:00 pm (CST) on Tuesday to have ample time to setup before the opening Night Program • Departure Options • A. August 16, 2014 (Saturday) - You can tear down and pack up after the final closing program and depart or after sunset. • B. August 17, 2014 (Sunday) - You can tear down and pack up and depart anytime before 10 am (CST) TIME line for set up and departure Osh Kosh 2014
SCC will mark off our predetermined area before clubs arrive • Areas will be given to those who arrive first, first come first serve • All clubs will receive space determined by ICC and number of club members registered • Directors will be on hand to ensure that all clubs line up accordingly and within standard SCC setup protocol 2014
At this point all RV’s will be parked in the RV designated parking area. There are no water and electrical hook ups in that area and it is filled on a first come first served situation. All request for RV’s to be on the campsite must come in writing to the SCC Youth Department for approval. RV’s on the Campsite
In the quality of care for our children each director or leader should prepare a custom home package for the parents. This speaks to the quality of our program and to the leadership that they can expect whole their children are away in our care. Here is some suggestions of what you should leave: • A full itinerary of event from departure to return • Copies of all pertinent forms and paperwork • Emergency numbers for the camporee • Contact information for area hospitals and ER • Contact information for club staff Preparation for Camporee 2014
Challenge 1- Restroom Etiquette, many concerns over this issue. Please educate your pathfinders on the value of good bathroom etiquette. • Challenge 2- Our campsite is our living area daily trash and food waste must be removed from it. A staff member will be assigned to check the area for areas of concern. Let’s keep our area clean Campsite Protocol
Grey water stations will be setup we encourage our clubs to ONLY dump grey water and not discarded food in the containers • We encourage each club to have the following flags set up for their site. The American Flag, Pathfinder Flag, Christian Flag, State Flag • Equipment storage, some clubs will have drum corps please store equipment in an orderly fashion. Our areas must reflect the excellence that comes from SCC, daily inspect and clean your sites Campsite Protocol
The International Camporee Committee is looking for someone who is willing to accept the job of coordinating and inspecting the cleaning of the bathroom facilities at Osh Kosh. We want to exude the oneness of SCC not just through our campsite but uniformity as well. We expect all pathfinders and staff to adhere to uniform protocols for each day. Below is a list of some of the types of t-shirts permitted for this camporee: • Club shirt • Conference shirt • Past camporee shirt • Osh Kosh Camporee shirt • Shirts that don’t reflect a pathfinder theme or design should not be worn. All clubs and staff will assemble at the SCC headquarters to march as a conference to the main assembly area for the evening program on Tuesday August 12th. All flag colors, color guards, and drum corps are to participate in this parade. We want to make a great impression on all who are in attendance and start off by letting Osh Kosh know that the mighty South Central is here!!!! Conference Marching Schedule

In the past camporees ICE was made available for purchase, please come prepared with your red wagons to transport water or ice. • Supplies and food can be preordered, a bus to various stores will be available each day from the campsite. Thoughts to obtain travel insurance should be considered as a part of your planning process. CYE website offers travel insurance for your clubs, the insurance is designed to cover travel and medical expenses, as well as to provide emergency assistance associated with an unexpected accident or event. First aide preparation is one of the most fundamental responsibilities for the club. Due to its level of importance, it is highly recommended that all official staff members possess formal training in first-aid, before the camporee. Of great importance to each club please ensure you have the following: • First Aide Kit • Medical Personnel identified • First aide tent Medical Concerns

Although this briefing outlines some of the primary responsibilities of the club director, the conference also has its responsibilities as well. Listed below are some of those: • Design and construction of the Conference Entrance • Conference Trading Pins • Hospitality Coordinators • Prep Teams Conference Organization
Each Federation has a Pathfinder conference coordinator. All issues, challenges, needs will come through the conference coordinator to the conference Pathfinder Director. Please use this chain of command to ensure proper accounting of issues and clear lines of communication. A schedule of directors worship and meeting will be sent out in your directors welcome packet. Medical forms must be completed for each pathfinder and staff attending the camporee and returned to the clubs director. • Permission forms for all Pathfinders should be created, signed by the parent or guardian, and then submitted for each outing in which the club participates prior to traveling with the club. • It is good practice to have multiple updated copies of these forms on hand, especially when traveling with Pathfinders outside of the church grounds.
