Entry requirements To meet industry requirements it is recommended that learners have Current industry experience Knowledge and application of basic English, Maths and ICT. Learners should also bring ‘technician skills’ relevant to their trade and occupation.

Course duration is 6 days and consists of TWO units 8611-300 Leadership and management practice for the construction and built environment sector 8611-301 Delivery of site operations and logistics. Overview

8611-300 Outcomes • Learners will extend their understanding of FOUR key aspects of leadership and management • The roles and responsibilities of a site supervisor/team leader • The differences between leadership and management and the relationship between the two • The role of quality management and site management • The importance of health and safety in site management.
8611-301 Outcomes • Learners will extend their understanding of FOUR key aspects of operations and logistics • Planning work on site • Putting team members to work • Improving the performance of a team in delivering to plan • The importance of quality management.
Assessment • Unit 300 – is assessed by an Assignment Task of about 1500 words presented as a report • Unit 301 – is assessed by an Assignment Task of about 1500 words presented as a report • Full briefing, tutorial time and support is provided.
