Charles Ingersoll Public Sector Practice Leader Senior Client Partner Charles S. Ingersoll, Jr. is a Senior Client Partner in Korn/Ferry International’s Washington, DC office and leads the Korn/Ferry International Public Sector Practice. In addition, Mr. Ingersoll is in the Nonprofit Practice and specializes in the recruitment for senior-level executives for associations and nonprofits organizations nationwide. Mr. Ingersoll is respected as a strong facilitator of association and nonprofit search committees and is accomplished in assisting search committees in defining their needs for new leadership. Mr. Ingersoll brings 20 years of executive recruiting experience. Prior to entering the executive search profession, Mr. Ingersoll spent eight years recruiting executives for presidential-appointed positions within the U.S. Departments of State and Commerce, and the U.S Information Agency. He served in the White House in the Office of Personnel during the Reagan Administration. Mr. Ingersoll’s past association and non-profit CEO searches include: National Governors Association, Project Management Institute, ANSI, Water Environment Federation, National Zoo, National Museum of American History, JA Worldwide, Lutheran World Relief, Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, Jocelyn Museum of Art, Grand Rapids Art Museum, Greater Washington Board of Trade, Greater Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce, St. Louis Regional Chamber & Growth Association and Virginia Economic Development Partnership. Mr. Ingersoll’s clients in the public sector have included: US Securities and Exchange Commission, Federal Housing Finance Agency, FDA, U.S. Department of Transportation, PBGC, Transportation Security Administration, FAA, FDIC, Federal Election Commission, Virginia Department of Transportation and US House of Representatives. Mr. Ingersoll is on the board of Junior Achievement of Greater Washington and the Washington Home and Hospice. In addition, Mr. Ingersoll is also a member of the American Society of Association Executives and the American Association of Museums.
