  3. What is an AVLB? • Armored Vehicle Launch Bridge • A folding bridge that is attached to a 2-man armored carrier.

  4. AVLB Uses • Launches a bridge that troops, tanks, and army vehicles can use to pass over a small river or creek. • Facilitates transport of troops, tanks, and materials to a location in a time of battle.

  5. Where is the AVLB Used? • The AVLB is used mostly in Europe, as many small lakes and rivers interfere with army transports and/or battle plans. • Can be used in any location where a small river needs to be crossed.
