  2. Plot This is an awesome book about a young girl’s life during the rule of the Capitol. Kainiss Everdeen is still alive after all she has been through and is currently fighting alongside the rebels to keep her family and Gale safe while trying to recover Peeta and the other living tributes. When Prim’s name is reaped for the Hunger Games Katniss volunteers to take her sister’s place in the Games…

  3. Setting In the future, a specific date is not stated, lies the country of Panem in the ruins of North America. There are several settings in this book but the main setting is district 13 and the arena where the games are held and the tributes fight to the death on live TV! And of course the Capitol.

  4. Characters Protagonist Antagonist Katniss Everdeen is brave and well built from years of hunting at the age of 16. But when the day of the reaping comes and her little sister, Prim’s name is drawn for the Hunger Games it’s all Katniss can do to keep Prim alive by volunteering to take her sister’s place in the Games. President Snow is a middle aged man who became president by using poison. He wears a white rose and carries the sent of his own blood from the poison everywhere he goes. His hatred of the rebels too far because he soon finds himself in the middle of a war.

  5. Theme the theme of the story is to never give up no matter what the circumstances are in life.

  6. Point of View The story is told from the 1st person’s point of view. In this case the 1st person is Katniss.

  7. Genre The genre of this book is science fiction because of the mythical creatures and impossible creatures.
