Continuing education CE is any form of education, vocational or general, resumed after an interval following the continuous initial education (EUCEN) UCE • professional development and training courses • liberal education and courses on the field of interest
QA in university studies for adults • accreditation of universities and curricula in every 7 years • self-evaluation report • teaching process, organisational structure and management • assessment by external experts • Firmalising with documents • Meetings with staff and students • assessment report submitted to accreditation centre • Higher Education Quality Assessment Council makes the decision and the minister will endorse it with written order
QA in UCE • Strategic plan until 2008 • The main aim is to offer wide scale high quality CE courses according to the needs of society • To increase the volume of CE and diversify target groups • Attention to the quality
