  3. Molecular Formula • The ACTUAL number of atoms of each element in a compound. examples: glucose C6H12O6 molecular formula CH2O empirical formula 6:12:6 reduces to 1:2:1 peroxide H2O2 molecular formula HO empirical formula 2:2 reduces to 1:1
