  3. What is PAT-SPG? • The Progressive Achievement Tests in Written Spelling and Punctuation and Grammar assess students’ understanding of the standard Australian English language conventions of grammar and punctuation

  4. PAT-SPG Grammar & Punctuation Written Spelling Two separate testing programs

  5. PAT-SPGWritten Spelling • Eight normed and graded tests that provide a comprehensive assessment of spelling, both through dictation and written text. • Year 2 – Year 10 • 30 minutes • Group assessment • Results reported on the same scale as the PAT-R Spelling

  6. PAT-SPGGrammar & Punctuation • Seven normed and graded tests set on a common developmental scale for reporting results on each test • Year 3 – Year 10 • 30 minutes • Group assessment

  8. Reporting performance Two reports are available: • Group Report • Individual Student Report ACER test scoring services can be used to score PAT Grammar and Punctuation. A CD in the manual has proforma spreadsheets for each test for recording results. Scale scores, percentile ranks and stanines are automatically calculated from students’ raw scores
