Uses: • Oral absorbable: UTI eg. Sulfisoxazole 1gm qid, sulfadiazine + pyrimethamine – acute toxoplasmosis (1gm qid) + 75mg. The 25mg od. • Folinic acid • - Sulfadoxine + pyrimethamine – malaria • Oral non-absorbable: Sulfasalazine, - ulcerative colitis, enteritis, inflammatory bowel disease • Topical:sodium sulfacetamide – bacterial conjunctivitis, trachoma
Mafenide : ADR: hypersensitivity urinary tract hematopoietic TMP – SMXSequential blockade
