  2. K.I.D.S. - What is it exactly? • K.I.D.S. is a volunteer service organization at Rose Tree School. We are involved in service projects in our school and community.

K.I.D.S. - Projects Here are some examples: • Read to Kindergarten • Greeters and Guides on special visitation days • Community service projects • Help coordinate school wide efforts during Holiday sharing • Assist at Strawberry Festival and other special events as needed • Help with Recycling

  5. How do I join? • K.I.D.S. is open to all interested fifth graders. It is a volunteer organization. There is an application process that you will need to complete. Completing the application is your opportunity to explain why you are a good candidate for this program.

  6. K.I.D.S. Application • Cover Letter - show this to your family • Application Page - this is for you! • Recommendation - someone who knows you well, besides your parent. • Parent Page - check it out!

  8. Application Page • This page is for you! • Complete this page on your own. • Tell what it means to you. • Don’t forget your signature.

  9. Recommendation • To be completed by someone other than your parents and older than middle school. • Have them tell why you are a good candidate for this program. • Use paper provided or your own • Don’t forget the signature…their signature!

  11. Final Suggestions • Return application to Mrs. McPheeters on or before September 16 - no later! • All pages must be completed and handed in together. • See Mrs. McPheeters with any questions.
