Per the UGA Traffic Safety Research and Evaluation group: • Intersection of Lumpkin St & Tate Center Parking Lot Entrance: • 14 crashes from 2003-2012 • 11 (79%) crashes resulted from motorist turning right into bicyclist on parallel path (in bike lane) • 2 crashes resulted from motorist turning left in front of bicyclist (in bike lane) • 1 crash resulted from motorist “dooring” bicyclist while letting passenger out of vehicle • 11 crashes since February 2010 • The following slides will help you confidently navigate the north and south downhill approaches to the Tate Center
