City • Relatively large and permanent settlement, particularly large urban settlement (Goodall, 1987). • Relatively permanent and highly organized centre of population, of greater size or importance than town or village (British Encyclopedia). • Urban area with high population density which is dominated mainly industrial and service activities (Wikipedia.org).
Town and village • A town is a settlement ranging from a few hundred to several thousand (occasionally hundreds of thousands) inhabitants. • A village is a clustered human settlement with the population ranging from a few hundred to a few thousands.
