  2. CSS • The installation is very easy and quick in all operating systems. • SNS CSS is more user friendly and more stable. • CSS has poor documentation. (A little OnlineHelp and some BOY EXAMPLES). These helps are not sufficient for understanding all possible widget’s uses. • I have reproduced all Rudolf’s and Maurizio’s interfaces. • I tested the Oven Interface, and speaking with Alberto Calore is born the necessity of a Voltage Current graphics GiovanniniLoris SpesControl System Group Dicembre 2009

InstallChannelArchiver In the installation of Channel Access Archiver (SNS) I found many errors in compiling the CA, because the release found in the Epics Site is optimized for an old compiler, (I found some solutions in the Tech-Talk section of Epics‘ webpage) I wrote a wiki page where I reported all errors that I found. After the installation, I studied how to use and configure these applications: 1) ArchiveEngine 2) ArchiveExport 3) ArchiveDataServer GiovanniniLoris SpesControl System Group Dicembre 2009

ChannelArchiverApps • ArchiveEngine is necessary to store a PV • ArchiveExport is a line command tool for the retrieval of the data stored by ArchiveEngine • ArchiveDataServer is a Server tool for some client retrieval tools as ChannelAccessArchiverViewer, CSS, ArchiveDataClient. • I used the CSS and ArchiveDataClient to see my data stored with ArchiveEngine, and I found a problem to access this file.
