Shift in County Expenditures • Total reduced by $5 million- from $16 m to $11 m • $5.4 million less paid for support staff, travel, & housing • $.4 million more paid to Extension Making a Difference in Minnesota

Re-Organization Process • Key decision maker conversations • Current program assessments to address future commitment • Staff conversations and interest survey to assess qualifications and interest in new positions • 18 Regional Office locations identified • New positions assigned and offered by District Directors and Program Leaders • Approximately 10% of County Educators received a layoff notice – some were assigned local County positions as contracts developed Making a Difference in Minnesota
