Brian D. Lerner - Can Help You To Make Your Immigration Process Go More Smoothly Reporter: How do you run an immigration case? Brian Lerner: There are numerous facets to an immigration case. Let me give you an example. Somebody was deported because of crime and has a son over 21 in the U.S. This person wants to come back into the U.S. First we have to determine on what grounds the client is inadmissible. Then we must determine if there are Waivers of Inadmissibility. Then I would determine in this example the path of success. Most likely it would be Consulate Processing, Criminal Waiver of Inadmissibility and Permission to Reenter. Reporter: How do you do all of that and know what to do? Brian Lerner: I have an office with multiple employees including other attorneys, law clerks, paralegals, legal assistants and other support staff. My office uses a comprehensive calendaring and web portal program that logs in each particular item that must be done and then calendars it for that employee to do. Next, the client will get access to the web portal and receive information on what questions to answer and what documents to upload. Reporter: What if the client is in another State or even another Country? Brian Lerner: That is the beauty of my system. They could be in a remote village in China and as long as they have access to the internet, the entire case moves forward. It will be put together, reviewed, revised and reviewed and revised again. Only when it is in tip top shape will I approve it to be filed. Once it is ready, we have a program where you can sign everything electronically without leaving your home and without having to come into the office.
