CAREER POSSIBILITIES • Self employed – Practice • Join Audit Firm • Consultant on Financial, Tax, Accounts, Corporate Law • Join Industry - Finance Manager, Financial Controller or Chief Financial Officer • Internal Auditors • Major roles in Banking and Investment industry.
HOW TO BECOME A CA • Step 1. Enroll for Common Proficiency Test (CPT) after passing 10th Standard. • Step 2. Appear for CPT Exam after passing 12th Standard. • Step 3. After passing 12th Std + CPT, enroll for ‘Integrated Professional Competence Course (IPCC)’ . • Step 4. Pass both Groups IPCC.
HOW TO BECOME A CA….Contd • Step 5. Complete 100 hours of Information Technology Training and one week Orientation Course. • Step 6. Register as an Articled Assistant for 3 years and for CA Final Course. • Step 7. Appear in CA Final Exam while in last 6 mths of Articled Training. • Step 8. Pass the exam and enroll as a member of ICAI and designate as ‘Chartered Accountant’!
COMMON PROFICIENCY TEST (CPT) One paper two sessions – 200 Marks Session I • Fundamentals of Accounting - 60 Marks • Mercantile Laws - 40 Marks Session II • General Economics - 50 Marks • Quantitative Aptitude - 50 Marks
