The packed food should be: • suitable for the season and occasion. • able to keep fresh for hours. • in suitable amounts to avoid wastage. • easy to handle, using fewer cutlery and utensils.

Points to note when packing food • Choose reusable containers. • Handle the food carefully. • Cut the food in large pieces for easy packing. • Use thermo containers to keep cold or hot food. • Place soft food and food to be eaten first on top.
