  3. Packed meals Try to satisfy everyone’s needs, e.g. manual workers need more starchy food. The nutrients should be balanced. Always prepare drinks and fruits as well.

  4. The packed food should be: • suitable for the season and occasion. • able to keep fresh for hours. • in suitable amounts to avoid wastage. • easy to handle, using fewer cutlery and utensils.

  7. Points to note when packing food • Choose reusable containers. • Handle the food carefully. • Cut the food in large pieces for easy packing. • Use thermo containers to keep cold or hot food. • Place soft food and food to be eaten first on top.
