  5. Residual Volume (RV) Volume of air still contained in the lungs after a maximal expiration

  6. Vital Capacity (VC) IRV + TV + ERV

  7. Total Lung Capacity (TLC) TV + IRV + ERV + RV

  8. Minute Respiratory Volume (MRV) • Tidal Volume X (Breaths/minute) • i.e • 500ml/breath x 12 br/m = 6,000ml/min
