WATER BOTTLING COMPANIESWATER PARKS GROUP 4 ROXANE BETSAIDA AYOSE DAYANA
Our group thought that looking for information about bottling companies of our island and water parks could be interesting to show you.
Two main bottling companies Fonteide and Fuente Alta Fonteide is considered as one of best water bottled factories in Canary islands. It is the most consumed, mainly in Tenerife. It is a mineral water with a weak mineralization
East water is obtained from a private source, but they are not capable of bottling all the obtained water, due to it’s great quantity, so a part of this is used for irrigation.
The bottling plants are called – Aguas del Valle de la Orotava- the process of the bottling is very interesting. To do the bottles they part from a capsule of plastic which they add warm air and with a few molds they do the apropiate form. The other bottling factory is Fuente Alta, which is placed in the >south of Tenerife, Vilaflor. The water is collected directly from a >spring.
In the FUTURE, we think that the only water we will consume will be mineral. Besides, flavoured water will be more offered, as it is more appealing. People will get more and more aware that mineral water is the ideal drink for their bodies.
WATER AS A LUDIC PRODUCT: WATER PARKS • We have three main water parks on our island. One in the north, another in the south and another one in the capital city.
The one in the north is called Lago Martíanez and it is the oldest one. It is placed in Puerto de la Cruz.
Its artificial lake, with approximately 27.000 m3 of salty water, contrasts with the other pools, four for adults and three for children, all of them with their original layout and beauty.
PAST It was designed by an architect from Lanzarote called César Manrique ElLago, as it is locally known, was placed over a land of beach and puddles, an old swimming place for the first tourists at the end of the XIX century and the beginning of the XX century.
Then, we have the Parque MarítimoCésar Manrique, placed in Santa Cruz.
And finally, Aquapark, which is in the south, is the biggest one
In the FUTURE, we would love to have more water parks, specially in our city, and of course we want them with free entrance, that would be great!!!!
In the north, there is also the Loro Parque. PAST AND PRESENT. It started working in 1972. Known as “the must of Tenerife” and placed in Puerto de la Cruz, its installations take up more than 135.000 m2.
Although, • in the beginning, it was just dedicated to parrots, today it houses a great amount of species that live in different enclosures imitating their natural habitats.
The undersea world is also present in Loro Parque, with a huge aquarium that contains more that 3000 species and that includes a big tunnel (16m long) that we can cross as we feel surrounded by beautiful sharks.
