  2. Just like humans, our canine companions are not born with good manners – they must be taught. Old Dominion Animal Health Center, in conjunction with C&C PALS, offers a full range of dog training for both puppies and adult dogs, with both group and private lessons available. Our goal is to help your dog, young or old, to develop the skills he or she needs to be a happy, balanced and well-behaved member of the family. Puppies are ready to attend training classes as early as 10 weeks, which is the ideal time to begin training. Our program will help your dog to learn good manners and basic commands, such as “sit”, “stay”, “down”, “off” and how to come when called. Additionally, your dog will need to become socialized so he or she will know how to respond when exposed to other people, children and other pets.
