PHOTOGRAPHY MOTION. SHUTTER SPEED. Shutter speeds are in a series which appear on a camera like this: 15, 30, 60,125, 250, 500 These speeds are doubled or cut in half with each step. RECORDING MOTION. A slow shutter speed will cause a trace image, using shutter speed of 1/60 or slower.

  2. SHUTTER SPEED • Shutter speeds are in a series which appear on a camera like this: • 15, 30, 60,125, 250, 500 • These speeds are doubled or cut in half with each step

  3. RECORDING MOTION • A slow shutter speed will cause a trace image, using shutter speed of 1/60 or slower.

  4. RECORDING MOTION • A faster speed will freeze motion, using a shutter speed of 1/250 or faster.

  5. RECORDING MOTION Panning: • Meter for shutter speed 1/30, 1/60, or 1/125 • Move with the subject • First aim at & focus on the subject • Take the picture while you are moving with the subject.
